We are seeking a dedicated casual Environmental Services Attendant to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across our facility. This role is vital in ensuring a secure, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience in healthcare or Long-Term Care home settings is a plus but not required.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean and safe environment while working within a supportive team. This is an existing position.
Duties
- Complies with health and safety legislations and departmental safe job procedures
- Uses or wears protective equipment as required
- Reports malfunctioning equipment as required
- Adheres to strict hand washing practices
- Performs housekeeping duties, preventative cleaning tasks and assigned custodial duties in all areas ensuring the facility meets the environmental safety needs of residents and all others
- Maintains resident/client information confidential
- Completes all other tasks as assigned
Skills
- Previous Long Term Care experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within assigned areas
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting issues
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
