Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cement Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating smooth, durable concrete surfaces and finishing structures with precision and expertise. Your work will contribute to the stability, safety, and aesthetic appeal of various construction projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites.

Responsibilities

- Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, ensuring a smooth, level, and polished appearance according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, edgers, and screeds to shape and refine freshly poured concrete
- Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements accurately
- Install rebar reinforcement and assist with concrete forming to prepare surfaces for finishing
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during various phases of construction
- Conduct restoration work on existing concrete structures, including crack repairs and surface refinishing
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to coordinate tasks effectively
- Use heavy equipment for mixing or transporting concrete as needed
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during the finishing process





Qualifications

- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with a solid understanding of masonry, carpentry, and restoration techniques
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment operation, and schematics reading
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as mixers or forklifts safely and efficiently
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, flooring installation, welding, and masonry work
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for precise project execution
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and use of power tools
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly across trades
- Physical stamina for long hours of standing, bending, lifting heavy materials, and performing manual tasks in various weather conditions
