West Fraser Chetwynd Forest Industries Woodlands team has an opportunity for aGIS Analystin Chetwynd.Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, the GIS Analyst will take on a key role in strategic and operational forest management planning. Specific responsibilities will be determined based on the skills and interests of the successful candidate but may include:Responsibilities:Maintenance & quality control of spatial data in The Land Resource Manager (LRM) for the Woodlands DepartmentPrepare & submit digital data to government to provided standardsWork with Woodlands team on mapping, reporting, and analytical projectsSupport Woodlands team with LRM and GIS tasksWork with other licensees and consultants to ensure data exchange standards are maintainedOur ideal candidate would have:Graduation from an accredited post-secondary GIS program or Forestry programExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Be a dynamic, career-minded individual.Strong analytic and project management skillsBe highly motivated with proven organizational skills.Experience using ESRI Products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcSDE and ArcGIS Online/Enterprise) and FMEKnowledge of RDBMS, SQL, in particular Oracle databaseExperience with programming and/or scripting languages such as C#, Python, or ArcadeConsidered an Asset:Preference will be given to candidates with 3-5 years or greater of related experience.Forestry or other natural resource management experience.Familiarity with data management systems such as the Land Resource Manager (LRM).Compensation Package:The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The yearly salary range is between $70,000 - $83,000/yearAnnual bonus opportunityOutstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension,
