As a Design Draftsperson, Inspection – Electrical, you will actively participate in the planning, design, and inspection of electrical projects that are essential to the proper functioning and sustainability of our facilities. adherence to contracts and specifications, implementation of necessary adjustments, regulatory compliance, and the safety of sites and equipment; Serve as a liaisonbetween internal and external stakeholders, as well as with contractors.Your profileCollege diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field; Minimum of six(6) years of experience in designing computer‑assisted electrical drawings and inspecting electrical construction work; Experience andproficiency with CAD technology (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Vault, and AutoCAD Electrical); Eligible for certification with l’Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec or the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT); Strong knowledge of drawing techniques, design, inspection, and framework/structure construction; Knowledge of applicable procedures, rules, regulations, standards, and safe work practices related to job duties; Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; Valid driver’slicense (Class G in Ontario or Class 5 in Quebec) and an insurable driving record; Eligible for Marine Transportation Security Clearance; Availability to undergo a medical examination and functional capacity evaluation; Ability to work atheights, in depths, near open water, and in confined spaces.The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation is committed to diversity by encouraging an inclusive and equitable recruitment and work workplace.
