About the Opportunity
- Develop and execute a financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team to support decision-making
- Monitor financial performance, identify improvement areas, and recommend actions
- Assess risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementManage dual revenue recognition: Percentage-of-Completion (construction) and Point-of-Sale/Delivery (manufacturing)
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls
- Optimize capital structure and financing activities
- Lead strategic initiatives and priorities in support of growth and operational excellence
and profitability analysis
- Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and KPIs to executive leadership and the Board
- Deliver actionable insights to drive efficiency and profitability
- Implement risk management frameworks to mitigate financial exposure
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Canadian ASPE/IFRS, including construction revenue recognition
- Mitigate FX exposure across USD/CAD transactions
- Oversee construction and manufacturing insurance programs
- Lead internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner cross-functionally to support business objectives
About You
- Construction industry experience preferred, ideally with percentage-of-completion accounting
- Proven ownership of EBITDA and cash flow forecasting
- Strong forecasting, budgeting, and business insight capabilities
- Cooperative leadership style, partnering effectively with the C-suite
- Experience in a growth / scaling environment
- Hands‑on leadership approach with a willingness to stay close to the business and add value
- Must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada
