What do we need from you?

As a Child Care Chef, you will beresponsiblefor planning, preparing,



and serving nutritious meals for children in our care.You will have the prospect to create menus that cater to varying dietaryneeds and preferences while ensuring that all meals meet nutritionalguidelines.

What will you do?

- Prepare meals and snacks on the menu fromstart to finish
- Following the set nutritional menu toensure items are prepared to meet the nutrition guidelines
- Meeting allergy and dietary requirementsand accommodation
- Maintain inventory and record of food,supplies, and equipment.
- Order groceries and supplies
- Maintaining a clean kitchen andunderstand current disinfecting practices
- Know and practice proper hand-washingprocedures
- Follow all safety protocols

You will possess the following:

- Able to work independently in a kitchensetting
- Strong advocate of nutrition
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of properfood handling procedures
- Ability to prepare and cook large volumesfor up to 250 children daily
- Ability to handle food allergies and foodsubstitution
- Ability to wash, peel, cut, and slice ofingredients
- Ability to sweep and mop areas
- Team player, organized, flexible

Required Qualifications to Work at KeplerAcademy:

- Minimumof 1-year commercial cooking experience in a high-volume kitchenenvironment
- FoodSafety Certificate
- StandardFirst Aid certificate
- Currentcriminal record check, including vulnerable sector search
