Working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews, you'll ensure construction is completed accurately and efficiently while supporting quality control throughout every stage of the project.You’ll spend the majority of your time working on active construction sites throughout Western Canada, with office time dedicated to data processing, planning, and reporting.What You’ll Get to DoPerform construction layout for roads, utilities, earthworks, structures, and other heavy civil projectsOperate Topcon GPS and survey equipment to collect accurate field dataCalculate and verify elevations, grades, coordinates, and construction layoutsRead, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and specificationsProduce accurate as-built surveys and documentationVerify survey measurements and calculations to maintain quality and project accuracyWork closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews to support daily construction activitiesPrepare field notes, survey reports, maps, sketches, and supporting documentationMaintain, calibrate, and care for survey equipment to ensure accuracyAssist with quantity surveys and progress measurementsComplete daily timesheets and labour, equipment,



and material reportingTravel between project sites as requiredSupport additional surveying and construction duties as assignedWho You AreYou're detail-oriented, technically capable, and enjoy working in the field. You understand that accurate survey information is the foundation of every successful project and take pride in producing dependable, high-quality work.You HaveMinimum two (2) years of surveying experience, preferably within heavy civil constructionStrong understanding of construction methods and surveying principlesExperience operating GPS survey equipment (Topcon experience is considered an asset)Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and construction plansStrong mathematical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teamsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and TeamsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to travel and work on multiple project sites throughout Western CanadaAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsFlexibility to work overtime, rotational schedules, and weekends when project demands requireLegally entitled to work in CanadaValid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstractWhat's In It for YouWhile this position is based from our Cranbrook, BC office, your workplace is where the projects are.
