Reporting to the Clinical Director – Forensic Service, the Clinical Inpatient Manager leads and coordinates an interprofessional inpatient team providing assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and risk management services to clients of the Forensic Service. The Manager oversees clinical and operational activities, supports staff development, promotes evidence‑based practice, and ensures delivery of high‑quality patient care. Working closely with qualified leaders and stakeholders, the Manager contributes to strategic planning, redevelopment initiatives, budget management, and organizational projects while maintaining a safe, inclusive workplace and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate interprofessional inpatient team delivering clinical services.
- Plan and manage staff scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development.
- Lead program development, implementation, and evaluation and support continuous quality improvement.
- Supervise clinical and operational activities and promote evidence‑based practice.
- Contribute to budget planning, monitoring, and organizational planning, projects, and change management including redevelopment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align services with organizational objectives, priorities and values.




- Represent management in negotiations with bargaining agents if required.
- Maintain a psychologically healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years progressive supervisory experience in a unionised environment or equivalent education and experience.
- Specialised knowledge of schizophrenia and forensic system, assessment, rehabilitation, risk management (asset).
- Strong negotiation, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Track record of managing interdisciplinary teams, client‑centered care, complex mental illness treatment and partnership development.
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
- English fluency required; French or second language proficiency an asset.

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: $112,495.94 – $140,619.93 per year.
- Opportunity to progress within full pay range up to $168,743.91 per year.
