Job Summary

- Program Trumpf CNC machines (TruPunch, TruLaser and Trumatic) efficiently and reliably using TruTops Boost software

- Manage programming priorities according to production needs.

- Read and understand technical drawings and CAD models
- To act as a technical reference, advising on the choice of tools and serving as a point of contact for purchase requests or requisitions to tool suppliers.

- Choosing the right tools and settings to ensure the reliability and performance of programs in production.

- Organize the manufacturing sequences to optimize manufacturing time

- Ensure that the quality of the parts is compliant and adjust the programs as needed.

- Improving existing programs to gain efficiency, quality and safety

- Working closely with operators to resolve problems and improve methods

- Optimize the use of sheet metal to reduce material waste

- Correct programming errors and provide technical support to production

- Participate in continuous improvement by identifying problems, actively communicating them to the engineering team to ensure visibility and rapid implementation of solutions.

- Maintain monitoring of programmed cutting rates (Trutops VS PaperlessParts),



analyze discrepancies and communicate them to feed continuous improvement initiatives.

- Support the submission team when required

- Support the new product introduction team when required

Technical Skills

- In-depth knowledge of TRUMPF Trutops (and Trutops Boost) programming software

- Excellent knowledge of the limitations of CNC machines (TruLaser, Trupunch and Trumatic)

- Excellent knowledge of the different types of sheet metal and their uses in our CNC machines.

- Good command of measuring tools

- Professional diploma program in precision sheet metal work or relevant experience

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

- Ability to solve technical problems

- Good skills in reading technical drawings

- Knowledge of or interest in modeling and technical drawing with Solidworks (an asset)

- Quality-oriented in all aspects of work

- Ability to work well in a team

- Positive attitude and attention to detail

- Valuable communication skills with technical and production teams

- Autonomy in managing priorities and tasks
