CMP Co-VP Events are responsible for planning and executing CMP Home Base's signature events and recurring social programming throughout the year.
Time Commitment
4–6 hours/week
Term of Employment
July 2026 – April 2027
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and execute CMP's two anchor transition events: the Welcome Week Kickoff (September) and the Mid-Year Reset (January)
- Organize recurring drop‑in coffee chats and casual monthly mixers throughout the academic year
- Coordinate logistics, including venue booking, guest outreach, and event flow
- Work closely with Co‑VPs Marketing to promote events and drive attendance
- Gather post‑event feedback and iterate on programming based on first‑year responses
- Foster a low‑pressure, welcoming atmosphere at all CMP touchpoints
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and operational skills
- Creative, people‑oriented, and energized by building community
- Able to make decisions independently and adapt under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and strong time management
- Experience with event planning or community‑building is an asset
