Compensation

- Starting Salary Opportunity: $96,000+ (base pay depends on experience and skills)
- Target bonus: $24,000, discretionary long‑term incentive awards possible.

Location

Toronto Office, 5 days/week in office.

Role Summary

The Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for implementing and managing zero‑based budgeting processes, working closely with departments to develop detailed budget plans, analyze financial performance, and align with company goals. The role identifies cost‑saving opportunities and ensures budgeting supports profitability and growth.

Job Responsibilities

- Implement ZBB framework and deploy the process across all departments.
- Collaborate with departments to build and maintain budgets reflecting operational needs and strategic priorities.
- Analyze financial performance, monitor budget variances, and prepare financial reports.
- Coordinate annual budget cycle and facilitate budget reviews with departmental heads.
- Improve budgeting methods and tools for accuracy and efficiency.
- Engage with finance teams and leaders to align on financial goals and provide ZBB training.
- Maintain adherence to financial controls and governance standards.
- Lead with influence.

Job Qualifications

- Financial management experience.
- Experience with ZBB and financial planning.




- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented and accurate.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong ethical standards and confidentiality.
