We are seeking a Construction Litigation Associate to join a leading litigation firm, working on high-stakes disputes involving major construction and infrastructure projects across Canada. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation associate looking for hands‑on advocacy experience within a premier construction litigation practice. You will work closely with experienced trial lawyers on complex disputes involving developers, contractors, lenders, architects, engineers, and other key industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage key components of complex construction and infrastructure litigation files
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare litigation materials
- Attend court appearances, arbitrations, examinations, and motions
- Assist with litigation strategy and case development
- Work directly with clients, experts, and industry professionals
- Handle document‑intensive matters and complex evidentiary records
- Support dispute resolution involving liens, delays, deficiencies, and contractual claims
Qualifications
- Qualified to practice law in Ontario
- 2-5 years of construction and infrastructure litigation experience
- Strong understanding of construction industry practices and lien procedures
- Experience managing complex litigation files
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Solid attention to detail and client‑service orientation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high‑performance environment
- Real estate litigation experience is considered an asset
