Working closely with the Geotechnical Division Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving project success and building strong client relationships.What a day at EXP could look likeBuild and maintain strong client relationships to support ongoing and future projectsPrepare proposals, including scopes of work, cost estimates, and project schedulesPlan and execute assignments requiring broad geotechnical expertise and an understanding of related disciplinesApply sound engineering judgment, adapting standard methods to meet unique project conditionsCoordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and third-party stakeholders to deliver project objectivesManage projects end-to-end, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocationDirect field investigations, monitoring programs, and construction-phase servicesAttend project meetings and conduct site inspections when senior technical guidance is requiredReview and interpret geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring dataPerform engineering analysis,



including computer-based modellingPrepare and review technical reports and deliverablesCollaborate with senior staff on complex or challenging technical issuesWork independently with minimal supervision based on project complexityMentor, coach, and support the development of junior and intermediate staffWhat your experience looks likeBachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering; postgraduate degree is an assetMinimum 15 years of relevant geotechnical experience, ideally in a consulting environmentAt least 5 years’ experience in a senior project management role within geotechnical investigation, design, and constructionProven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projectsDemonstrated ability to develop scopes of work aligned with client requirementsStrong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and quality requirementsExperience managing budgets, schedules, and scope changes due to client needs or field conditionsProven ability to deliver accurate and timely project reportingStrong business development skills, including building and growing client relationshipsExperience with complex geotechnical investigations and design workProven ability to mentor and develop junior engineering staffKey strengthsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilities, including prioritization and multitaskingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProfessionalism, diplomacy, and tact in client and team interactionsSolid understanding of construction practices and methodologiesAdvanced experience with geotechnical analysis toolsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyValid driver’s license and access to a vehicleThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.The salary range for this role is between $130k - $160k.The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
