At Personal Development School, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their fullest potential through transformative learning experiences. Our programs empower students to grow personally and professionally in a supportive, innovative, and fully remote environment. We are currently looking for a Content Manager who can execute our Content Strategy. Summary

Content Manager will own short-form video end-to-end for our main channel and a network of fan channels, from script to published post to performance report. Responsible for keeping a consistent content engine running and surfacing the top-performing pieces our paid media buyer can turn into ads.

Responsibilities

Write scripts/hooks for short-form videos in our brand voice, informed by current trends and past performance data

Edit raw footage into finished short-form content: trim, add titles, captions, CTAs, and platform-specific formatting

Write copy for video descriptions, captions, and hashtags per platform

Schedule and publish content across the main channel and all fan channels

Build and manage fan channels that repost segmented clips of main-channel content, driving traffic back to the main channel and into segmented marketing funnels

Track content performance (views, watch time, engagement, saves/shares) and produce a recurring report flagging top performers as ad candidates for the paid media buyer

Monitor platform trends, formats, and algorithm shifts, and adjust content approach accordingly

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in short-form content, social media, or video editing

Solid hands-on editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar)

Familiarity with content scheduling software (VistaSocial or similar)

Strong copywriting and grammar skills for hooks, captions, and CTAs

Comfortable pulling and interpreting native platform analytics (TikTok, IG, Facebook, YouTube Shorts) and turning them into a simple report

Self-directed; able to run a pre-established content calendar without heavy oversight

Experience running or growing a fan account network

Completion of an MBTI assessment as part of the application; we're looking for a strong "J" (Judging) preference, reflecting comfort with structure, planning, and follow-through

How to Apply

Submit a portfolio demonstrating your editing and copywriting strengths (short-form video samples, captions/descriptions you have written, and any fan/clipping channel work if applicable).

Application Process

Initial interview with the Marketing Lead

Skills assessment: You'll be given a piece of our existing content to edit and write a title/description for, to show your editing chops and how quickly you can pick up our brand voice

Interview with the Operations Manager and/or the Chief Marketing Officer

Offer

Employment Terms

Employment begins on a 3-month contract basis

Possibility to extend to a full-time role based on fit and performance

Full-time employees receive our standard benefits plan and 2 weeks PTO

Success Metrics (first 90 days / ongoing):

Consistent posting cadence across main + fan channels

Growth in fan-channel-to-main-channel referral traffic

Number of pieces flagged and successfully used in paid ads

View/engagement trend on main channel short-form content

Work Location: Remote Pay: $24 to $27 CAD per hour
