Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Leader, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will work on continuous improvement projects related to continually reducing costs and increasing overall efficiencies; all within a fast-paced, high-growth food manufacturing workplace.

Location: Etobicoke, ON. (Travel to various facilities may be required) Responsibilities: Implement and drive standard work, including appropriate communication boards and problem-solving systems focused on core operations Participates and performs assessment - daily leadership round on the floor, with coaching of operators, and owning follow up to drive improvement Continuously challenging the status quo to drive culture change at the Bakery towards a methodical, data driven approach to problem solving with an emphasis on root cause problem solving and sustaining improvements Shares site performance weekly and monthly with the Bakery Leader Identifies gaps in CI implementation against the plan and develops action steps with CI leader and Bakery leadership team Collects, compiles and analyzes performance and/or financial data that supports process improvement, cost reduction activities, and/or manufacturing optimization (labor, Waste, OEE) Develops insights from data evaluation to understand trends, root causes of problems, and identify opportunities for improvement Utilize project management tools to track progress and provide status updates on key projects with Bakery project teams including leading sub-tracks of projects through to implementation Assist with capital improvements recommendations Have a forward view, working closely with Bakery Leader and Finance on the Bakery productivity pipeline and continued focus of eliminating inefficiencies and waste at the Bakery Lead Continuous Improvement project teams, educate team members and spread the Continuous Improvement Culture throughout the organization Requirements: Completed Post-Secondary education (Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical)



Engineering Training in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is an asset Prior work experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset Must possess excellent analytical skills Must have demonstrated ability to interact with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team Flexible to work different work schedules when needed Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Must be adaptable, high energy and passionate in getting things done Must have a valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle Must be willing to travel to different sites within Ontario and Canada Must be willing to work flexible shifts (including weekends) as per business and operational needs What is the recipe for a great career at Wonderbrands
