Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our team preparing nutritious, large-scale meals for schools across Prince Edward Island. This position focuses on consistent, high-volume food production that supports student health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook large-batch meals following established recipes and nutrition guidelines.
- Ensure meals meet food safety and quality standards (HACCP, Public Health regulations).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Portion, package, and label meals for delivery to schools.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and deadlines.
- Deliver meals to schools
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations.





Qualifications

- Previous experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and safe food-handling practices
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and manage batch cooking.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Drivers License

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
