Position # : Expected Start Date: August 18, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Community Services-101 15th Street East PA City/Town: Prince Albert Department: Addiction Services Community Clinics&Programs Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: July 03, 2027 FTE: 1 Number of Hours per Rotation: 224 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma $29.584 to $36.176 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, and under the general direction of the Addictions Counsellor - Degree (Alcohol & Addictions Services Worker), the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related issues by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery programs. Responsibilities include providing informational programming as well as individual and group counselling sessions with clients. "Preference for this positionwill be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement " Human Resources Exemption:
No Education Chemical Dependency diploma Competencies Crisis management skills Experience Experience in a mental health and addictions program required Other Education & Training Completed social sciences or human services discipline acceptable to employer Knowledge & Abilities Ability to conduct individual and group counselling/educational programs Knowledge of screening and addiction assessment tools and procedures.
