Intermediate Mechanical Engineer – Tetra Tech Canada Inc., Pickering, ON
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineers, designers, procurement, and construction.
- Perform mechanical engineering assignments requiring broad engineering knowledge and understanding of interdisciplinary impacts.
- Use standard and modified procedures, or develop recent methods, to solve engineering problems.
- Participate in planning activities needed to achieve project objectives.
- Supervise large or specialized groups of professionals or serve as a highly specialized maintenance/technical engineer servicing heavy industrial clients in the Nuclear Sector.
Qualifications
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
- Registered or eligible to register with PEO as a P.Eng.
- 8+ years of experience in design, process, maintenance engineering, and engineering management within the Nuclear, Power, or Industrial Facilities (considered an asset).
- Experience in Nuclear Mechanical Maintenance or consulting engineering (considered an asset).
- Experience communicating with other design disciplines and understanding their impact.
- Strong computer skills: AutoCAD, MS Office, Numerical Methods Solutions.
- Knowledge of nuclear engineering principles applied to design and construction (preferred).
- Coaching, professional service management, communication, and interpersonal skills (essential).
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
Compensation
Annual range: $95,000–$135,000.
