Meretsky Law Firm / Wang Legal has a unique private practice arrangement, and we are seeking a talented associate for our growing team. Our practice covers mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate/commercial and securities law, serving clients from emerging companies and founders to established private and public issuers.

In this role, you will: Advise on and manage private M&A; transactions, private equity investments, and reorganizations from initial structuring through to closing;

Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and transaction documents;

Support public and private financings and securities law compliance matters;

Provide practical corporate governance and general commercial advice to a variety of clients; and

Take ownership of files and build lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate has 2-6 years’ experience focused on corporate, commercial and mergers and acquisitions matters,



including familiarity with Canadian corporate and commercial law and market practice. Securities law experience is an asset but not required.

You should also bring experience advising on corporate governance and general commercial matters, strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple files independently. You will bring a positive attitude, a team orientation, a strong service ethic, and excellent time management skills, and must be willing to work from our office in Toronto’s Financial District. All applicants must be members in valuable standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
