Corporate Social Media Operations Intern
TORONTO, ON
We’re COTY, a global leader in beauty. Coty's corporate and executive social media team is lean, moves fast and every decision matters. We’re looking for an operations intern who can own real responsibility, think like an operator, and support the high‑visibility presence that keeps everything running.
Responsibilities
You'll work with the director of social media on day‑to‑day execution, manage the details that determine whether content lands well, performs well, and shows up exactly as intended. Your work will contribute to how Coty talks to its consumers and future employees.
- Content publishing & calendar management: source, adapt, schedule, and publish across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
- Brand voice quality control: ensure every post that goes live passes through your eye, catching grammar, voice misalignment, brand hierarchy problems before publication.
- Analytics & reporting: prepare monthly performance summaries highlighting key trends, insights, and areas of impact.
- AI integration & optimization: use AI for drafting, editing, analytics synthesis, and content adaptation; decide when to leverage AI for speed and when human judgment should lead.
- Crisis monitoring: monitor social channels for emerging issues and flag potential risks with context and speed.
- Community management triage: monitor incoming comments, identify what matters vs noise, and route important items to leadership with context.
- Executive content support: assist with executive thought leadership workflow – gather input, support edits, manage images.
Qualifications
You understand that corporate social media is reputational infrastructure, not just a creative channel,
and that a single misstep can affect how millions of people perceive a company. You think like an operator about risk, messaging and governance; spot patterns other people miss; you think in data using numbers to know whether you are moving the needle; you notice when something is off and fix it quickly before publication.
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- Platform literacy on LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook.
- Editorial eye to catch grammar, tone, consistency and brand voice before content goes live.
- Solid written clarity – explain complex ideas simply and succinctly.
- MS Office proficiency, especially PowerPoint & Excel.
- English proficiency: native or near‑native fluency required.
- Nice to have: French language skills.
Bonus
- Experience with social management tools (Sprinklr, Meta Ads Manager).
- Paid social campaign experience.
- Background in beauty, fashion, or consumer brands.
- Aesthetic sensibility and eye for creative trends and what resonates.
- Strong time management & prioritization skills.
- Strong initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.
Benefits
Coty’s global omni‑working policy provides the option to work up to 50% of your month remotely. Base Salary: $36,608.
