Position Summary Work with the District Manager and store team to ensure compliance with customer service standards, operating policies and procedures, and applicable provincial and federal legislation. Support the district in achieving operating efficiencies, revenue goals, profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsible for sourcing, hiring, training and development of the store team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Communication: Skilled, timely, thorough and proactive communications; consistent delivery to all store team; friendly and productive customer communications that encourage repeat business, customer satisfaction and increased sales.

- People Management: Address trends of underperformance with clear, documented performance improvement plans; formally recognize robust performers; manage the store team in alignment with operational, legislative and HR policies.
- Problem Solving: Proactively resolve issues with store staff and escalate unresolved items to the District Manager for support.
- Accountability: Ensure the store team meets company standards and is held accountable for non-compliance; prepare and deliver the daily deposit to the nearest TD Bank.
- Job Knowledge:



Understand customer interactions on the sales floor; administer operational and HR policies consistently; apply operational requirements and reports to daily store operations; maintain awareness of business, competitors and local market opportunities.
- Quality: Set high standards for customer service; maintain merchandising and store visuals; foster a customer engagement culture and differentiate the store experience.
- Push For Results: Use internal reports and results assessments to develop and monitor SMART goals focused on team development, profitability, sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the District Manager to develop retail sales goals and action plans; manage labour and vacation scheduling to budgeted models; ensure adequate staffing for short and long-term store success.

Qualifications - 3-5 years’ experience as a retail manager - 3-5 years’ experience supervising and/or leading people - 3-5 years’ experience working in a retail environment (Food Retail experience is an asset) - 3-5 years’ experience servicing and resolving customer concerns - Understanding of business management fundamentals - Post-secondary certificate in business or related field an asset - Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more as required by the business - Must have both POS and cash handling experience Bulk Barn Foods Limited is an equal chance employer that values diversity in the workplace.
