Join Shared Health in Winnipeg as a skilled Adolescent Mental Health Counselor. This role focuses on providing effective mental health support through direct client interaction and group therapy. As part of the Intensive Treatment Service team, you will plan and implement treatment strategies while evaluating their effectiveness.
Establishing professional relationships with team members and community organizations is crucial in facilitating an engaging therapeutic workplace. Your clinical skills will allow you to support adolescents in their mental health journey. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and assess treatment plans for adolescents
- Conduct therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize care
- Address resource needs for community support
- Manage and facilitate group therapy sessions Requirements:
- At least two years of relevant practical experience
- Degree specialization in Social Sciences or equivalent
- Child and adolescent care experience preferred
- Membership in the Child & Youth Care Worker Association is a plus
- Current Criminal Records and Abuse Registry Checks required Utilize your mental health expertise to support youth at Shared Health and positively impact their lives.
