Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, professional, and energetic Craft Assistant to join our growing Craft Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing exceptional food and beverage service to television, film, commercial, and live production crews. The Craft Assistant works closely with the Craft Key to ensure efficient daily operations while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Craft Key (Team Lead) in the daily operation of a high-volume Craft Services food truck.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down service areas before, during, and after production.
- Prepare, replenish, and present fresh food, beverages, snacks, and refreshments throughout the day.
- Keep all service stations clean, organized, and fully stocked to meet production demands.
- Deliver friendly, qualified, and efficient service to cast, crew, production staff, agency representatives, and clients.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures.
- Wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and maintain cleanliness of the food truck, workstations, and storage areas.
- Receive, organize, rotate, and restock inventory as directed by the Craft Key.
- Assist with food preparation, packaging, and accommodating dietary restrictions or special requests.
- Adapt quickly to changing schedules, locations, and production needs while maintaining a positive attitude.




- Communicate effectively with the Craft Key regarding inventory levels, service needs, and any operational concerns.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain confidentiality while working in film and television production environments.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service, catering, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience in television, film, commercial, or live event production is considered an asset but is not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended production days.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
