Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities,

Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.SummaryThe mine surveyor provides essential field surveys for our Mining Operations and Engineering teams. Your work directly supports production through providing field layout and survey pickups, staking ore boundaries, and digital mapping. You will be responsible for collecting accurate data that is critical to mine planning, production reconciliation, and ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel on site.ResponsibilitiesChampion a safe work setting by ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct daily operational surveys to support production, including face pickups, laying out blast patterns, staking ore boundaries, and providing shovel grade controlPrepare and manage clear documentation for all survey activitiesProcessing and management of all collected survey dataEnsure data accuracy by performing quality control checks on all pickups and layoutsUpdate digital site models, calculate volumes,



and produce as-built drawingsProvide survey support for construction projects by laying out designs and performing as-built surveys for site infrastructurePerform other duties as required to support the survey and engineering teamsEducation & ExperienceA technical diploma in mining, survey or equivalent experience1 - 3 years of open pit mining experienceWorking knowledge of open pit miningPossess a valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s license and have access to personal transportationRequired SkillsCommitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellenceSkilled in use of modern survey equipmentExperience with, or a willingness to learn, drone operation for survey data captureAbility to perform physically demanding fieldwork, including navigating uneven terrain while carrying equipmentStrong organizational, prioritization, and time management skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Effective written and verbal communication skillsProficient user of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Suite.Working ConditionsWork involves a set work schedule on-site at Copper Mountain Mine and depending on the role and may consist of:Navigating active mining and construction areas by vehicle and on foot, often on uneven terrain and in various weather conditions.Exposure to conditions associated with a mine site environment including noise and dustWork includes lifting or moving up to 20 kgsWork is conducted in a team environment with regularly scheduled and ad-hoc meetingsSalary Range$87,930 - $97,700 / annumCopper Mountain Mine is an equal chance employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
