Practice Environment
- St. Joseph’s Medical Center – Stockton, CA
- 355‑bed regional medical center (CommonSpirit Hospital System)
- 8‑room main OR, cath lab, endoscopy
- The Anesthesiology department includes 12 physicians, over 30 independent‑practice CRNAs, and 24 resident physicians providing services for up to 16 anesthetizing locations daily.
- Annual anesthesia case volume approx. 14,300 (≈9,000 surgical cases, 800 cardiac cases, 2,000 out‑of‑OR cases in GI, EP lab, cath lab, and interventional radiology).
- OB services with 3,000 births annually, multi‑provider anesthesia team (average 250–300 births/month, 4 epidurals and 3 c‑sections/day).
- 2 obstetric ORs and 8 labor rooms in a renovated pavilion.
- Participation in call: 24‑hour in‑house, 24‑hour OB, second call from home.
- CRNAs practice to full scope, performing regional anesthesia, arterial lines, and central lines.
- 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts and call shifts available with scheduling flexibility.
- Post‑call day off after first call.
- Collaborative MD/CRNA model; CRNAs and MDs work independently with an anesthesiology residency program.

- St. Joseph’s Surgery Center: 5‑room OR (general, GYN, urology, pain procedures, pediatric,
dental, ENT, endoscopy)
- St. Joseph's Medical Center: 8‑room main OR (cath lab, endoscopy)
Who We’re Looking For
- Motivated CRNAs desiring to practice independently with a supportive group of CRNAs and MDs.
- Experience preferred; motivated new graduates considered and successful.
Qualifications
- Active state RN and CRNA licenses.
- Board certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, BLS certification.
