Your role and responsibilities
As a Technical Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients’ goals. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world‑class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem‑solving issue‑/hypothesis‑based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, a client‑focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical team, you’ll collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

- Solving client challenges effectively: understanding clients’ main challenges and developing solutions that help them reach true business value by working through the phases of design, development, integration, implementation, migration, and product support with a sense of urgency.
- Agile planning and execution: creating and executing agile plans where you are responsible for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day‑two operations.
- Technical solution workshops: conducting and participating in technical solution workshops.
- Building effective relationships:
developing successful relationships at all levels—from engineers to CxOs—with experience navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions.
- Self‑motivated problem solver: demonstrating a natural bias toward self‑motivation, curiosity, initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
- Collaboration and communication: strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.
IBM is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Delivery Consultant to work directly with customer accounts and to customize, extend and deploy IBM Verify Customer Identity (Customer Identity and Access Management), IBM Verify Workforce Identity, IBM Verify Identity Privileged Identity software in customer environments.
Responsibilities
- Work with various clients within various industries to deploy IBM Verify OnPrem and/or IBM Verify SaaS solutions.
- Conduct health checks and recommend improvements in architecture and/or configuration based on IBM best practices.
- Perform migration and modernization.
- Conduct enablement sessions on IBM Verify software capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design and configuration issues in the customer’s environment.

Required technical and skilled expertise
- In‑depth knowledge of Identity and Access Management domain, technologies, and best practices.
- Expertise in deploying and managing IBM Verify solutions.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms.
- Experience with integration of IBM Verify with various applications and systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
- Development and/or systems engineering experience.
- Technical support or consulting client‑facing experience,
preferably with an organization serving mission‑critical operations.
- Has provided technical leadership (architecture, design, development oversight) and team leadership (planning, collaboration, conflict resolution, driving results) on both small and large technology projects.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration.
- Scripting skills.
- Experience developing and deploying code in a high‑availability environment.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS, MS Azure and/or other cloud computing platforms.
- Hands‑on experience configuring VMware (Workstation / ESXi) environments.
- Strong knowledge of directory service configuration (LDAP and Windows Active Directory).
- Strong knowledge of security best practices.
- Leadership skills is a plus.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Expertise in Data and IT Technologies: Deep expertise requires an expert technical level in data and IT software technologies including several technology areas including IBM Cloud Pak for Data, Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Db2, COGNOS, IBM Watson Studio and related AI frameworks or equivalent enterprise solutions.
- Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM Verify tools.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management security domain.
- Knowledge in applying patches and upgrades on IBM Verify.
- Expertise in migrating IBM Verify on‑prem to IBM Verify SaaS.
- Expertise integrating applications with IBM Verify.
- Infrastructure design or solution engineering/architecture skills.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of secure backups and secure restore best practices.
- Creating/supporting the formulation of statement of work (SOW). Assessing duration/activities/resources/prerequisites involved in an engagement.
Location and eligibility
Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
