Appliance Outlet is a leading One Stop Appliance store serving Edmonton since 2006. We sell, deliver and repair Home Appliances. We are proud of our team (13 full time people) for their respect for each other and our clients, sense of humor, positive attitude and a hard work.

We are seeking a reliable, experienced and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting home appliances from our warehouse to client's home safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle freight effectively. Candidates with experience in home appliances / furniture delivery are highly desirable.

*** Starting wage ($19 - $25 /hr) depends on experience.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a cube van to transport appliances from our store/warehouse to client's home.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with office and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide a polite, professional, and helpful experience inside the client's home.
- Load and unload appliances, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo during transit. Expertly use appliance dollies, shoulder dollies, ramps and liftgates.
- Bringing appliances into client's home ~ unboxing, inspecting, and removing old appliances. Maneuver heavy items like refrigerators, washers and ranges into homes without damaging property.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries ~ using Jobber platform to upload photos and notes related to each delivery.
- Basic installation: connect water lines for fridges,



hook up dryer vents, level units and change door swing on refrigerators (training provided).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Experience

- Must have proven experience in commercial driving ~ Experience with Home Appliances / Furniture Delivery is advantageous.
- Must have clean driver's record.
- Must have the last 3 years of continuous auto insurance (private or commercial)
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling the driver to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
