The Director, Early Talent – Wealth Management and Insurance is accountable for the leadership and delivery of all early talent and talent acquisition activities for RBC’s Wealth Management and Insurance portfolios globally. The Director liaises with Human Resource Business Partners, HR COE partners, TA leadership and business leaders to ensure best‑in‑class early talent strategies are in place for each business group. The Director is responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of the Early Talent team by building their capability and supporting the implementation of new tools, programs and processes to maintain RBC’s external competitiveness. The role ensures early talent processes and operations are seamlessly executed and aligned with partner teams.
What will you do
- Lead, manage, coach and develop a team of Early Talent Recruiters to achieve RBC early talent recruitment goals.
- Consult with business leaders to identify recruitment needs and create targeted, proactive recruitment strategies, including segmented approaches where appropriate.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert for RBC Early Talent recruitment.
- Manage early talent recruitment performance against established KPIs and collaborate with experienced talent acquisition leaders to produce accurate, timely reports and communications to management, hiring managers and HR partners.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to obtain workforce planning and talent management requirements, ensuring the right resources and solutions are in place to meet early talent needs.
- Coach and counsel the Early Talent team on sourcing techniques, recruitment strategies and consulting capabilities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current best practices in early talent and talent acquisition, leveraging technology, social media and industry networks.
- Provide strategic leadership and operational management to ensure seamless relationships and handoffs to partner COE HR teams.
- Stay current with industry trends and competitive knowledge to keep RBC’s early talent recruitment approach up to date.
- Build and promote a robust employee value proposition, pitching at campus and external partner organizations to entice students to join RBC.

- Strong business acumen and knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Proven experience leading an early talent recruitment function that supports revenue‑generating businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate strategies that enhance early talent acquisition practices and outcomes.
- People‑management experience with a dispersed team.
- Ability to develop and nurture productive business relationships, influence and educate managers and executives.
