Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Finance Director will lead the Finance team and play a key role in supporting Farm Boy’s business, financial, and operational objectives. This position is responsible for business partnering, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making across Corporate and Retail Operations.

The Finance

Director will act as a trusted advisor to Senior Management and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial information, strong processes, and continuous improvement while delivering a quality service approach to employees, customers, and suppliers.

Support

Corporate and Retail Operations through financial analysis, insights, and strategic business development initiatives. Lead and oversee the Finance Department to ensure the accuracy of accounting and financial records, as well as the timely preparation of internal financial reporting and reporting required by Empire. Partner with Senior Management in preparation for Board of Directors meetings and key business reviews.

Identify and recommend best practices to enhance Farm Boy’s financial tools, reporting capabilities, systems, and processes. Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial processes, providing timely and insightful analysis and recommendations to management. Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing Finance team by fostering collaboration, accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, along with a CPA or CA designation. ~10+ years of progressive Finance experience. ~ Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, financial reporting, and tax compliance. ~ Excellent analytical, problem-solving,



and report-writing skills with strong attention to detail. ~ Experience implementing and enhancing financial systems, processes, tools, and control frameworks. ~ Proficiency in English and French would be considered an asset.
