- Resources business in Quebec is entering an important growth phase, and we are looking for a high-performing business development leader to help expand our presence across mining, industrial, infrastructure, and remote-site operations.
Our team is seeking a disciplined, commercially driven hunter who knows how to open doors, build executive relationships, create opportunities, navigate complex organizations, and win business in highly competitive environments.
The Opportunity

- Resources to drive profitable new business growth across Eastern Canada (MB,SK , ON, and Nunavut).

While Energy &
- Resources experience is valuable, we are primarily looking for someone with strong business development capability, complex sales experience, executive relationship skills, and a proven ability to win.
Candidates from other complex B2B industries who bring robust hunting capability and strategic sales discipline are encouraged to apply.

Business Development &
- Sales Leadership
This role requires a highly proactive and commercially assertive sales leader who can create momentum and drive opportunities forward in competitive environments.
You will
Build and manage a solid pipeline of qualified opportunities
Prospect strategically and proactively across targeted markets
Develop relationships with executive decision-makers and operational leaders
Lead complex sales pursuits from qualification through negotiation and close
Navigate sophisticated procurement and RFP environments
Coordinate internal teams to develop compelling client solutions and proposals
Maintain strong opportunity management discipline, forecasting accuracy, and CRM hygiene
This role requires someone who is comfortable:
Creating urgency and advancing opportunities
Managing competitive pressure
Challenging client thinking professionally and constructively
Operating independently while driving accountability internally and externally
Strong Indigenous engagement is critical within the Energy &
- Resources sector.
This role requires someone who understands that partnership development is built through consistency, respect, credibility, patience, and long-term relationship building — not transactional sales behavior.
You will
Build and maintain respectful relationships with First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and Indigenous business partners
Support partnership development aligned with client and regional expectations
Participate in long-term relationship and community engagement initiatives
Represent Sodexo professionally and credibly in all stakeholder interactions
Work collaboratively with Indigenous partners in support of shared opportunity development
This aspect of the role requires humility, strong listening skills, cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, and relationship maturity.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
7+ years of successful quota-carrying business development experience
Proven track record winning complex, multi-year service or outsourcing contracts
Experience selling outsourced operational services, facilities management, hospitality, workforce accommodation, industrial support services, or other complex B2B solutions
Demonstrated success developing new business in competitive environments
Experience managing sophisticated RFP and solution-based sales processes
Experience within mining, energy, industrial,
remote-site operations, or related sectors is considered a strong asset, but not required
Fully bilingual in French and English
Strong executive communication and presentation skills
High level of professionalism and business acumen
Strong negotiation and closing capabilities
Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
Strong Microsoft Office capabilities including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to travel regularly across Quebec and other target regions (approximately 30–40%)
