The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural and turf equipment, working in a fast‑paced shop and assisting on the road.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service agricultural equipment while ensuring customer support and workmanship pride.
- Use specialized tools, cutting‑edge technology, and innovative solutions to complete complex repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance based on manufacturer schedules and standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of John Deere agriculture products.
- Participate in John Deere University and dealer‑led training to further develop skills and technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and basic computer functions.
- 3+ years of experience performing complex service repairs and maintenance.
- Preferably hold a Journeyperson Agricultural Technician certification or equivalent in a mechanical field (e.g., heavy equipment).
- Consideration for 4th‑year apprenticeship candidates.
- Knowledge and familiarity with John Deere and competitive products is a definite asset.
