We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Dispatcher to join our operations team in Acton, ON. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing automotive parts shipments, coordinating drivers, and ensuring efficient load planning while maintaining excellent customer service.

Position Summary The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating daily transportation operations, managing driver schedules, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring the on-time movement of automotive parts shipments. The successful candidate must be a strong multitasker, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess hands-on experience using transportation management systems and customer portals.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, assign, and dispatch drivers for automotive parts shipments.
- Coordinate daily pickup and delivery schedules while maximizing equipment utilization.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address service issues, delays, or route disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, warehouses, and carrier partners.
- Track loads through various customer portals and transportation management systems.
- Update shipment information, driver status, and delivery confirmations in real time.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, hours-of-service regulations, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate emergency load coverage and last-minute schedule changes.




- Investigate delivery exceptions and provide timely updates to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, shipment documentation, and operational reports.
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Fleet Management teams to achieve service objectives.
- Support after-hours and weekend coverage when required.

QualificationsRequired Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of dispatching experience in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong experience handling automotive parts transportation and time-sensitive shipments.
- Proven experience managing multiple drivers and loads simultaneously.
- Experience in a high-volume transportation environment.

Technical Skills Hands-on experience with:
- TransPlus Fleet Manager
- Active Aero
- RXO Portal
- Ryder Logistics Portal
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- GPS and load tracking systems

Experience with additional customer portals and transportation management systems will be considered an asset.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
