As we continue to expand our fleet and operations, we are looking for an experienced Truck Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Responsibilities

- Dispatch company drivers and owner-operators throughout Canada and the United States.
- Book profitable freight using DAT, Loadlink, Truckstop, and other load boards.
- Negotiate freight rates with brokers and customers to maximize profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with freight brokers, shippers, and customers.
- Plan efficient routes while ensuring compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery and provide proactive updates to customers.
- Resolve delivery delays, service issues, and transportation-related concerns.
- Verify Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), rate confirmations, customs documentation, and shipment paperwork.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver files, and shipment documentation.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure safe, on-time deliveries.
- Work closely with the operations team to improve fleet utilization and customer satisfaction.




- Perform other transportation and logistics duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of truck dispatch experience (Required).
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. trucking operations.
- Experience dispatching cross-border dry van freight.
- Proficiency with:
- DAT Load Board
- Loadlink
- Truckstop (preferred)
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Google Workspace
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of:
- FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Hours of Service (HOS)
- Mileage planning and transit times
- Import/export and customs documentation

Preferred Qualifications We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the continued growth of our business.

Preference will be given to applicants who have:

- An existing book of business, including established relationships with freight brokers, shippers, and direct customers.
- The ability to bring new customer accounts and consistent freight opportunities.
- A proven track record of increasing carrier revenue through customer acquisition and relationship management.




- An active network of freight brokers and direct shippers across Canada and the United States.

Candidates with an existing customer portfolio may be eligible for a higher starting salary and performance-based incentives.

- Day Shift
- Occasional evenings or weekends as operationally required

Experience
- Truck Dispatch: 2+ years (Required)
- Cross-Border Dispatch: Required
- Dry Van Dispatch: Preferred
- Freight Brokerage or Customer Sales Experience: Strong Asset
