You will serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and executives while providing leadership to engagement teams and contributing to the ongoing development of the practice.This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to play a meaningful role in shaping client success, team development, and firm growth.In this role, you will:Lead Assurance, Advisory, and Tax engagements for private company clients, including review engagements, compilations, and corporate and personal tax planning mattersProvide strategic business and financial advice to clients, helping them navigate growth, operational challenges, and key business decisionsManage engagement planning, budgeting, staffing,



and delivery to ensure high-quality client service and efficient executionBuild and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services and deepen client partnershipsCollaborate with Partners on business development initiatives, proposals, and new client opportunitiesMentor, coach, and develop Senior Accountants, and Accountants through ongoing feedback, technical guidance, and career development supportReview financial statements, tax filings, and client deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with professional standardsFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and exceptional client serviceWhat You BringMinimum 8+ years of public practice experience, including at least 3 years in a management roleStrong technical expertise in assurance, private company advisory services, and tax complianceDemonstrated experience managing complex client engagements and multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentProven success developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and identifying business development opportunitiesExperience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teamsStrong business acumen and the ability to provide practical, value-added advice beyond compliance requirementsExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present complex financial matters clearly and effectivelyStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesA collaborative, entrepreneurial, and client-focused approachAdditional RequirementsAbility to work from our Vancouver office, with a hybrid schedule available following probationAvailability to work additional hours during peak periodsCommitment to maintaining a consistent work schedule to support client and team needsWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary of$125,000 - $160,000Discretionary bonus programRRSP matchingExtended health benefitsMonthly cell phone stipendHome office allowanceAnnual wellness allowanceMonthly Senior Manager allowanceWe thank all applicants for their interest in Smythe LLP.
