At Kraken Robotics, we design advanced subsea imaging, battery, and robotic systems used around the world. We’re growing our engineering team and looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design of mission-critical electronics for next-generation ocean technologies.
Design of mixed-signal PCBs and embedded electrical systems for subsea robotics and sensing platforms
Architect electrical systems spanning power, signal integrity, and embedded control
Collaborate closely with mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers to deliver fully integrated products
Guide products from prototype → production → field deployment
Mentor junior engineers and co-op students
Apply required codes and standards to design criteria
Technical depth:
Work on products already deployed with global customers across more than 30 countries worldwide
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
4+ years of experience in electrical engineering
Background in PCB design and mixed analog/digital systems
Experience with power electronics and/or embedded systems
Experience with subsea, marine, or microelectronics industries
Remote within Canada supported (with periodic in office collaboration), with transfer to Mount Pearl after ~6 months For American applicants: this role qualifies for CUSMA work permit
