In your role, you will need to:
- Define structural integrity requirements for various system components such as landing gear, wheels & braking systems, FBW flight controls, high-lift flaps, hydraulic components, emergency power systems, fuel and inerting systems, pneumatic systems, engine and fire protection system.
- Develop structural integrity methodologies for these systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers, ensuring compliance with the program's methodology and technical requirements.
- Calculate and analyze loads.
- Calculate and review static and fatigue analyses related to the systems.
- Review supplier documents.
- Prepare certification reports.
Requirements
As an ideal candidate,
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- You have at least seven (7)
years of experience with load, stress, and fatigue analysis techniques for systems.
- You are familiar with structural qualification requirements for aircraft systems, particularly: landing gear, FBW-type electric flight controls, hydraulic flight controls, horizontal stabilizer control, high-lift flap controls, hydraulic and electro-mechanical components, conduits, etc.
- You are familiar with landing gear load calculation methods.
- Knowledge of software such as CATIA, PATRAN is an asset.
- Previous experience working on an aircraft development or in-service support program, including certification, would be an asset.
- Experience as a delegate within an approval organization (DAO) would be an asset.
- You have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and are a team player.
- Valuable communication and computer skills are essential.
