Salary
The salary range for this position is CAD $49.20 - $67.08 / hour.
Job Summary
We are looking to fill a Casual opportunity for a Nurse Clinician, Skin & Wound Care at Queen's Park Care Centre located in New Westminster, B.C. QPCC provides rehabilitation services, an adult day program, and a long‑term care community with outpatient rehab and 76 inpatient beds for brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and other conditions.
About the Site
Queen's Park Care Centre is a small, friendly site with a multidisciplinary team, an active wellness committee, and a strong Foundation partnership. It is located in Current Westminster, a historic city on the Fraser River.

Detailed Overview
The Nurse Clinician will provide consultation and clinical expertise in skin and wound care, model direct care skills, perform complex wound modalities, and provide education to staff and patients. The role may involve research, policy, quality improvement, and risk management at multiple Fraser Health sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership in evidence‑based skin and wound care, review literature, consult experts, and recommend changes to standards.
- Model direct patient care skills and provide just‑in‑time education to staff and students.
- Perform complex wound modalities and follow up on cases.
- Assess education needs and develop teaching plans.
- Deliver learner‑centered education through presentations, workshops, and lectures.
- Evaluate effectiveness of education programs and identify quality improvement opportunities.
- Plan and schedule education activities and maintain attendance records.
- Collaborate with practice leaders and support staff and students in care planning.
- Assist with patient/family education about discharge planning and health maintenance.
- Participate in quality improvement, risk management, audits, and research projects.
- Provide preceptorships and mentorships for staff and students.
- Assist in staff recruitment, budgeting, and resource recommendations.
- Support the development of clinical decision‑support tools and policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Registered Nurse with a current BCCNM license and at least 3 years of recent clinical experience in skin and wound care, including 1 year of education or leadership experience. Completion of a post‑graduate course or certification (e.g., IIWCC, CAET, WOCN) is preferred.
Valid BC driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for business needs.
