Racing Forensics (www.racingforensics.com) provides sample collection services for the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency (CPMA) and TCO2 testing services for provincially operated TCO2 programs at racetracks across Canada.
Racing Forensics is hiring for Retention Area personnel at racetracks across Canada. Available positions include: Test Inspectors, EIPH Clerks, and Veterinary Technicians. Work schedules are dependent on race calendars and may include shifts on weekends and/or statutory holidays.
We have seasonal openings at Fort Erie Race Track in Fort Erie, ON
Test Inspector
- Collect samples from racehorses for the CPMA Equine Drug Control Program
- Responsible for urine sample collection
- Assist veterinary technician or veterinarian with collection of blood samples
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transportation of samples according to established protocols.
- Record and report any issues or discrepancies related to sample collection.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as required.
EIPH Clerk
- Work with veterinary technician or veterinarian to administer IV medication to race horses
- Ensure accurate administration and proper documentation of medication in accordance with established protocols.
- Record and report any issues or discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Must have experience handling horses
- Comfortable working with horses in a calm and controlled manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
- Excellent ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow directives accurately and effectively.
- A qualified, confident and highly positive demeanor
