Great Place to Work® Certified (2023, 2024, 2025) Summary About the Role – Event Coordinator Salary Range ($50,000-$60,000) This position is responsible for providing administrative support to and working closely with a team of Event Managers. Duties of this position include but are not limited to maintaining calendars/meetings schedules, coordinating client arrivals, assisting in detailing event orders, coordinating with internal operations in preparations for groups, and managing group accommodations for Event Managers. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, prior hotel or event experience, the ability to learn new computer programs, can multitask and complete projects in a timely manner.
This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem solving skills. Organizational skills, computer proficiency,
and communication skills are a must.
Key Responsibilities Administrative support to the Event Planning Team
Answering phones while in the office and providing guidance to clients on behalf of Event Planning Team
Organizing internal bookings
Assist with group resumes, event orders and floor plans as needed
Positive collaboration with hotel departments and vendors
Generating reports as needed
Coordinate VIP arrivals, amenities, and special requests related to events and group business
Assist with event billing, final account reconciliation, and post-event follow-up
Effective management of small guestroom blocks including the understanding of group’s history and pick up performance with guidance from managers
Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and enhance guest satisfaction
Support hotel initiatives
Educating customers about Hyatt’s Together by Hyatt program Qualifications A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment while carrying positive attitude and living Hyatt’s values and mission.
Team oriented individual able to adapt to an ever-changing hospitality and event industry
Prior experience in Banquet Operations in a hotel setting preferred
History of superior customer service satisfaction
Proficiency desired in Envision Sales Suite, Opera, Social Tables, Sertifi, Hyatt Planner Portal, Microsoft Office.
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn tasks in other departments in order to assist during busy times
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
