Permacon is a division of Oldcastle® Architectural.Job SummaryWe are currently looking for aMachine Operatorfor both rotating day/night shift and for the weekend shift at ourMetcalfeplant in southern Ottawa, located at 6860 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON K0A 2P0.Job Responsibilities:Operates Rekers machine (dry side) and ensure its good functioning; Operate the strapping and wrapping machines and ensure its good functioning; Operate all the equipment related to the machine; Follow quality manual. Complete quality and production reports. Look after the curing of the products to ensure valuable curing of products; Perform set-up changes; Perform operations and necessary adjustments for machine start up; Programs equipmentin accordance with the product requested. Make and save product recipes to optimize product change over; Perform preventivemaintenance of equipment; Participate in maintenance work; Participate in machine clean-up. Clean up tasks as required, like cleaning Press / Mixer; Participate in theRekers department housekeeping.
