We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and landscaping, with a minimum of 3 years experience in maintaining gardens and landscapes.
This role involves working outdoors, utilizing both hand and power tools to ensure the health and aesthetic appeal of various plant species. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the truck and trailer from site to site, working with a team to maximize the health and beauty of established landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Drive the company truck and trailer
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing plants.
- Perform softscape installation including landscape edging, and plant material
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various horticultural tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall appearance of landscapes.
- Some landscape construction duties to fill in hours
Requirements
- A class 5 Alberta's driver license with 5 years clean driver's abstract,
preferably with experience in light duty trucks with trailers.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to gardening and landscaping tasks.
- Knowledge of plant species, their care requirements, and environmental needs, including turfgrass.
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics in garden design.
