Responsibilities A Facility Care Manager must be able to perform the following duties, but is most significant they are responsible to ensure that all employees are performing these duties as expected:
- Personal Care
- Help residents maintain good personal hygiene, provide emotional and psychological support
- Medication Administration
- Dispense medications, administer treatments and assist with exercise routines as prescribed by a physician
- Resident Charts
- Document daily interaction with residents, noting any changes in physical, mental, and emotional condition / behavior and immediately report any concerning changes to management
- Social Activities
- Encourage physical activity, mental alertness and social involvement by planning and participating in activities such as playing games, taking walks, or having conversations
- Emergency Management
- Document and inform management of minor incidents and significant events, act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency and provide medical treatments and care in cases of emergency
Additional duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Cleaning (in the absence of a Community Care Cleaner or if needed)
- Maintain a hygienic, tidy, safe and comfortable environment by performing general housekeeping, enhanced cleaning, waste disposal and laundry duties
- Cooking (in the absence of a Community Care Cook or if needed)
- Prepare, serve and clean up after daily meals and snacks, which are predetermined by the Owner/Operator and incorporate all special dietary needs and allergy considerations of all residents
Responsibilities A Facility Care Manager must be able to perform all of the duties that their employees are expected to perform but those are not the main responsibilities of a Facility Care Manager A Facility Care Manager is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day operations of a Community Care Facility ensuring that administration tools are used accordingly, employees are fully trained and residents are safe and healthy The main responsibilities of a Facility Care Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Confidently lead a team of employees that consistently meet the Operational and Care Service Standards for Community Care Facilities
- Develop and establish a coaching and feedback loop to ensure the quality of care provided to residents is top notch and performance of employees is as expected
- Quickly and professionally solution issues that arise with either the facility operations and/or employees or residents
- Receive direction from and effectively action feedback provided by the corporate team of directors and operations
- Provide support and a line of open communication with residents and their families
- Represent the facility, even when outside of work, and be on the lookout for opportunities for new employees and residents
- Train, develop and manage employees
- Conduct successful admission and orientation of residents
- Regularly assess resident needs to develop and implement value added resident care plans
- Liaise with other professionals, such as doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, other care managers, occupational therapists, probation officers and other outside agencies regarding resident safety and well being
- Network within the local area so that that the facility and its residents become part of the community
- Ensure all record keeping is up to date and accurate, especially Resident Charts
- Create schedules that ensure Daily Direct Care Hours are accounted for and all facility staffing needs are covered
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
