Enhance veterinary education at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine as a Tenure Track Faculty Member in Large Animal Surgery. This role involves a blend of teaching and surgical responsibilities on a full time basis. The Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate for a tenure track faculty position.
Committed to both teaching and research, the successful candidate will instruct DVM students and lead surgical procedures on large animals at the Veterinary Medical Centre. Your expertise will contribute to the development of future veterinarians and advancing research standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures and supervise labs for DVM students
- Conduct emergency and elective surgeries on large animals
- Provide quality pre- and post-operative animal care
- Develop and maintain an impactful research program
- Mentor graduate students and disseminate research findings
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Certification as a Diplomate of ACVS or equivalent
- Teaching experience in a veterinary context preferred
- Eligible for Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association licensure
