Director of Finance Food Manufacturing Company | Ready-to-Eat Products About Our Client Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company specializing in ready-to-eat products. They are seeking an experienced financial leader to oversee the company's financial strategy and accounting operations.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and evaluating all financial activities across the organization. This is a strategic leadership role involving budgeting, financial planning, team management, oversight of accounting operations, and financial reporting. Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and month-end and year-end close processes, while ensuring the accuracy of all financial reporting.

Prepare and review corporate tax filings in compliance with applicable tax legislation within the food manufacturing industry. Conduct in-depth financial statement analysis to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering professional growth and maintaining a high level of engagement.

Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.



Monitor budgets and financial performance while accounting for the seasonal nature of the food manufacturing business. Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance.

Provide strategic financial recommendations to help the company achieve its business objectives. Continuously improve financial and accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Support senior management with production cost analysis and product cost calculations.

Highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and external audits. Naturally analytical, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and variances, and recommend practical solutions. A strong leader who can coach, mentor, and develop an accounting team.

An effective communicator who can clearly explain financial information to executives, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders. Adaptable and responsive, with the flexibility to manage the unique financial cycles associated with the ready-to-eat food industry. Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance.

Solid knowledge of the full accounting cycle. Knowledge of tax regulations applicable to the food manufacturing industry. Bilingual (French and English) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. #
