We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Food Safety Systems Coordinator to support our Trenton, ON locations by assisting in the oversight and continuous improvement of the facility’s food safety program.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety program
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of food safety policies, procedures, programs, and records to ensure compliance with company standards, GFSI schemes, and regulatory requirements.
- Support food safety and GMP training activities, including assisting with training content development, delivery of training sessions, and maintenance of training records.
- Assist with GMP program oversight, including conducting routine inspections and internal audits, documenting findings, and supporting corrective actions.
- Support food safety and GMP training activities, including assisting with training content development, delivery of training sessions, and maintenance of training records.
- Conduct routine inspections of the internal food safety system and review product specifications and handling practices for troubleshooting, verification, and training purposes.
- Ensure compliance to Quality and Food Safety requirements within the scope of the position
- Ensure all documentation complies with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., FDA, SQF, HACCP).
- Monitor food safety data, trends, and records to identify risks, opportunities for improvement, and recurring issues, and provide recommendations to management.
- Support compliance with applicable food safety regulations, standards, and Kosher or customer-specific requirements within the scope of the role.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality,



and management teams to promote a strong food safety culture across all supported sites.
- Provide food safety support across multiple locations (Tate Road and Douglas) as required by operational needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree in food science or related field in preferred a minimum of 2-year experience in the food industry
- Strong computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including data input
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and SQFI or related GFSI Food Safety programs and regulations
- Ability to audit programs to ensure compliance with relevant Quality and Food Safety standards.
- Strong food safety, quality and continuous improvement focus
- Strong attention to detail with ability to respond and act as needed to address complex situations
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and team building skills
- Requires flexibility to work both day and afternoon shifts based on operational needs, occasional Friday work is required
- The role will support operations at both the Tate Road and Douglas locations, as needed

Pay: $57,000.00-$59,000.00 per year
