About SwingMatch
SwingMatch is a growing golf technology company helping golf academies, courses and instructors simplify lesson booking, payments, scheduling and student management.
Our platform is already being used by more than 140 golf instructors across Canada and the United States. After initially building SwingMatch around individual instructors, we are now expanding into a business-to-business model focused on golf courses, teaching academies and multi-instructor facilities.
Our goal is simple: help golf professionals spend less time managing administration and more time teaching, serving students and growing their businesses.
We are now looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial golf-industry professional to help lead the next stage of our growth across North America.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional sales role with an established playbook and a list of leads waiting to be called.
It is an opportunity to work directly with SwingMatch Golf's founders to open new markets, build relationships with golf-industry decision-makers and help shape how we sell to academies and facilities across North America.
You will play an important role in developing our B2B sales strategy, generating qualified opportunities, closing academy subscriptions and identifying larger facility, multi-location and industry-partnership opportunities.
For the right person, this initial engagement could develop into a longer-term business development or sales leadership role with expanded responsibility, compensation and potential participation in the company’s growth.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and pursue golf courses, academies, teaching facilities and multi-instructor operations that could benefit from SwingMatch
- Identify organizations where SwingMatch could create meaningful value, and leverage your experience and relationships to determine whether there is a fit.
- Build and manage a qualified B2B sales pipeline
- Lead or support product demonstrations and sales conversations
- Communicate the operational and business value of SwingMatch
- Close new academy subscriptions and identify opportunities for expansion
- Gather market feedback on our product, positioning, pricing and academy offering
- Identify potential partnerships with golf associations, management groups and other industry organizations
- Help develop a repeatable sales process that can be scaled into additional markets
- Share regular pipeline updates,
market insights and recommendations with SwingMatch’s founders
Who We’re Looking For The ideal person is highly connected within the golf industry, comfortable creating opportunities through relationships and motivated by the chance to help build something at an early stage.
You may have experience as a:
- Golf-industry sales or territory representative
- Director of golf, head qualified or academy operator
- PGA professional with a strong industry network
- Golf technology, equipment or service sales professional
- Club-management or golf-operations professional
- Golf-industry consultant
- Business development professional who has sold directly to golf courses, academies or facilities
- Experience as a Teaching Professional is an asset
What Will Make You Successful
- A track record of building trusted relationships across the golf industry.
- A demonstrated ability to secure conversations with golf-course and academy decision-makers
- Experience selling products, services, technology or partnerships within the golf industry
- Strong communication, relationship-building and follow-up skills
- The ability to clearly communicate business value rather than relying on transactional sales tactics
- An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in an early-stage environment
- The ability to work independently and create structure where a mature sales process does not yet exist
- Strong judgment, professionalism and credibility within the golf community
- A willingness to provide candid feedback and help shape SwingMatch’s sales strategy
Initial Engagement and Growth Opportunity The role will begin with an initial 90-day engagement, allowing both SwingMatch and the successful candidate to validate the market opportunity, working relationship and sales approach.
During this period, the focus will include:
- Selecting one or more promising high-density golf markets
- Building a targeted list of academy and facility opportunities
- Generating qualified meetings and product demonstrations
- Closing initial academy subscriptions
- Identifying larger facility, partnership and multi-location opportunities
- Documenting common customer needs, objections and buying considerations
- Helping define a scalable North American sales strategy
Success will be evaluated based on the quality of relationships developed, qualified pipeline created, new revenue generated, and strategic insights contributed.
Our intention is to find someone who can grow with SwingMatch—not simply complete a short-term sales project.
We don't expect someone to simply "sell" SwingMatch. We want someone who understands the golf industry well enough to tell us where the product fits, where it doesn't, what facilities actually need, and how we should evolve our offering.
Compensation
Compensation will be negotiated based on the candidate’s experience, network, expected level of involvement, and ability to own the sales process.
The arrangement will include a meaningful performance-based component tied to new business generated. Depending on the candidate and scope of the role, other elements may include:
- A retainer or guaranteed component
- Commission on new academy subscriptions
- Participation in renewals or account expansion
- Milestone-based incentives
- Potential equity participation
We are open to developing a structure that aligns incentives and reflects the entrepreneurial nature of the opportunity.
Why Join SwingMatch?
