The Town of Wainwright is currently accepting applications for a Full time Pool/Facility Mechanical Operator at the Wainwright Communiplex. This position involves the operation and maintenance of the Communiplex Pool including recirculation and/or filtration systems, chemical feed systems, heating and ventilation systems, plumbing systems and related automation systems. Other duties will include housekeeping and maintenance of the Communiplex and Peace Memorial Multiplex as requested, as well as assuming on-call duties and providing emergency assistance when required.

Experience and knowledge of swimming pool operations, general maintenance, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems is considered an asset.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess the following:

-High School Grade 12 Diploma

-Pool Operator 2 certification, or a willingness to obtain this certification within one year of hiring

-Intermediate 1st Aid & CPR Level C, WHIMIS and AED or willingness to obtain





-Class 5 Driver’s License

-Clean Criminal Record

This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E Local 5606, and as such, the successful candidate will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement. The Town of Wainwright offers competitive wages and an excellent benefit package. The rate of pay for this position is $35.92 per hour.
