Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and dedicated Indigenous Construction Labourers to contribute to several projects with Indigenous participation requirements in the National Capital Region. Candidates with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in construction are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required, as training will be provided for specific tasks.

Duties

- Assist with various phases of construction projects, including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup

- Support skilled trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and welding teams

- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently under supervision

- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements

- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying tasks as needed

- Assist with installation of cabinets, flooring, and other fixtures

- Apply caulking and perform restoration work to ensure quality finishes





- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work setting

- Contribute to project estimations by providing accurate labor input when required

Experience

- Previous experience in construction or related trades is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary skills

- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus

- Skills in carpentry, concrete forming and finishing, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, or restoration are highly desirable

- Ability to operate heavy equipment is beneficial but not essential; training will be available for those interested

- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are important

- Safety training will be provided.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
