We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and the ability to drive sales and customer satisfaction. This role requires strategic planning, team supervision, and effective communication to ensure the store’s success and growth.

The General

Manager will be responsible for managing staff, controlling budgets, and ordering from several vendors.

Duties

Have some skills with ordering product from different vendors -or willingness to learn

- Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, customer service, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Manage recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of staff to ensure a high-performing team.
- Coordinate purchasing decisions, and inventory control to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain excellent customer service standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development for team members.
- Manage marketing efforts including promotional campaigns
- Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions, cash handling, and reporting purposes.
- Monitor store cleanliness, organization,



and visual merchandising to create an inviting shopping setting.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and operational issues for senior management.

Skills

- Proven leadership with supervising experience in retail or similar environments.
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and contract negotiations.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in retail management software including POS systems; familiarity with merchandising tools.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting and sales management.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with organizational skills.
- Customer service expertise with a focus on enhancing shopper experience.
- Strong administrative skills including computer skills, math aptitude for financial tasks, and organizational skills necessary for store operations management.
