Job Title: Golf Course Maintenance Personnel (Grounds Crew)

Department: Grounds / Course Maintenance

Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent

Location: Hamptons Golf Club, NW Calgary

Position Summary

Golf Course Maintenance Personnel are responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, playability, and health of the golf course. This includes mowing, landscaping, irrigation, and general grounds upkeep to ensure the course meets high standards for golfers and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain golf course equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
- Mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, and other turf areas according to maintenance schedules.
- Rake sand bunkers and maintain proper bunker conditions.
- Perform landscaping duties including planting, trimming, pruning, and debris removal.
- Assist with irrigation system operation, inspection, and minor repairs.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments under supervision and according to safety regulations.
- Repair divots, ball marks, and turf damage to maintain course quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Assist with course setup,



including moving tee markers, changing hole locations, and installing signage.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance experience is an asset.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license required.

- Good time management and ability to follow schedules.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform manual labor.

Working Conditions

- Early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.
- Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to turf care chemicals, equipment noise, and physical labor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
